Welcome to the
9th Annual Winter Speaker Series
Every year, when the days are at their shortest, the weather looks the bleakest, and die-hard gardeners are out shoveling compost in the mud, wondering if the sun will EVER shine again, the Snohomish County Master Gardener Foundation hosts the annual Sustainable Gardening Speaker Series.
The lecture series features eight celebrity gardeners, authors and subject matter experts sharing their knowledge on a variety of gardening subjects. The topics range from the practical to the whimsical but they are always entertaining and educational. Plus they are SUCH a wonderful break from the winter doldrums!
The lectures are held every two weeks from the first Friday in January through mid-April in Mukilteo, WA, south of Everett, WA. They run from 9:30 - 11:30am. Coffee and snacks are available at 9am and at the break.
In addition to the information shared by the speakers, gardeners can "talk shop" with other like-minded individuals. Many of the speakers will have their books available for purchase which they may sign after the session. In some cases, the speaker will bring favorite plants for sale.
A subscription to the entire series of lectures can be purchased for $85. We expect the series to sell out. However, if there is any unsold capacity, a limited number of single lecture tickets may be available at $20 each at the door on a first come/first served basis.
The lectures are held Fridays from 9:30 - 11:30am at:
Mukilteo Presbyterian Church Social Hall
4514 84th St SW
Mukilteo, WA
(located west of the Boeing Plant)
